Group visits

Staff at the Glamorgan Record Office are always happy to conduct sessions for visiting groups on how to 'get started' here at the Record Office.

The content of your visit will be tailored to meet the needs of your group, but can include...

...an introduction to Glamorgan Record Office procedures
...introduction to the systems and catalogues in our searchroom
...a look behind the scenes
...information on how to handle original records, and how to care for any archival material of your own that you may have at home
...a chance to consult documents from the Collection relating to your locality or topic of interest
...an oppurtunity to ask questions and seek advice

So if you're an officer of a local society, or the tutor of a local history or family history class in the Glamorgan area, why not get in touch and make a booking?

Visits can be organised for Monday mornings and weekday evenings; they normally last two hours, and are charged at a rate of £25
