The new Glamorgan Archives building is sited in Clos Parc Morgannwg at Leckwith (formerly the site of City Farm Lane ). Clos Parc Morgannwg is situated next to the HSS Hire shop on Sloper Road.

Find transport to us using Traveline Cymru, National Rail Enquiries, Arriva Trains Wales, Cardiff Bus. Traffic News and Cameras are available from the BBC

Travelling by Train

From Cardiff Central catch the train either to Grangetown or Ninian Park. Grangetown is on the Penarth line and Ninian Park is on the City Link in the direction of Radyr. Trains to Radyr leave every half hour, trains to Grangetown leave every 8-10 minutes.
If you are travelling in from the North of Cardiff you can alight at Radyr and take any train heading for Coryton on the City Link, which will travel through Ninian Park on the way to Cardiff Central. Trains on the City Link run approximately every half an hour.

Travelling by Bus

From Cardiff Central Bus Station you can catch the service Number 1 or 2. These are city circle bus routes and you should try to catch the Number 1 to travel to the office and the number 2 to get back. Both these services stop at the closest bus stop to the office and run twice an hour. Alternatively service numbers 92, 93, 94 and 95 all stop at the ends of Sloper Road and are no more than a 10 minute walk from the Glamorgan Archives.

Travelling by Car

Satellite Navigation should be set to CF11 8AW. Our street, Clos Parc Morgannwg is currently too new to be on the majority of systems, however you may find its predecessor “City Farm Road” which is in roughly the same place. Once you are on Sloper Road the turning is just by the HSS hire shop between the new Cardiff City Football Ground and the bus depot.
If you do not have satellite navigation then from Cardiff City Centre follow the A4161 Cowbridge Road, towards (M4) (A48) Cardiff Airport and Bridgend. Continue onto Wellington Street, then at the five way junction with Leckwith Road, turn left onto Leckwith Road towards Penarth and Dinas Powis. Proceed under the two railway bridges and turn left into Sloper Road, the turning into Clos Parc Morgannwg is about ¼ of a mile down on your right.
From outside of Cardiff, travel to Junction 33 on the M4 and leave the motorway to join the A4232. Take the third exit at Leckwith, (after the Museum of Welsh Life and the Culverhouse Cross Interchange), and then take the first exit from the roundabout (left hand lane) onto Leckwith Road B4267. Continue down Leckwith Road in the left lane for about half a mile until the road narrows and approaches a traffic light controlled crossroads just before a railway bridge. Turn right into Sloper Road at the crossroads. The turning into Clos Parc Morgannwg is about ¼ of a mile down on your right.

We have Car and Bicycle parking for visitors.
